Vero Amore welcomed her latest foal into the world on Sunday, Feb. 21 when she gave birth to a filly by Accelerate at Brookdale Farm.
The filly is Vero Amore’s sixth foal and her first by Accelerate, who stands at Lane’s End Farm. Accelerate was a graded stakes winner during three consecutive campaigns. At five, he was named Champion Older Male, after winning five of six starts, all Grade 1 races, including the Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1).
Vero Amore’s first three foals of racing age are all winners, topped by last year’s Champion 2-year-old Filly Vequist, a daughter of Nyquist who won the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies (G1) and Spinaway S. (G1). Vequist is currently training at Palm Meadows in south Florida for her 2021 debut in the Feb. 27 Davona Dale S. (G2) at Gulfstream Park.
Vero Amore foaled a filly by Daredevil in 2020 and another filly by Australian Group 1 winner Astern in 2019.
